Lawful bases
Depending on the context, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, or because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running our business effectively.
International transfers
Some of the technology providers we use may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on the provider's applicable transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and Health Check information only for as long as it is reasonably useful for managing the enquiry and our relationship with you. As a general rule, we aim to remove inactive enquiry records after 24 months unless there is a reason to retain them longer.
If you become a client, some business, contractual and financial records may be retained for up to six years, or longer where the law requires it.
Your rights
UK data-protection law gives you rights over your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these may include the right to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format.
To exercise a right, email kyle@amzpip.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
